Cities and villages
Saginaw County lists three cities and five villages:
- Cities: Saginaw, Frankenmuth, Zilwaukee
- Villages: Birch Run, Chesaning, Merrill, Oakley, St. Charles
Within the City of Saginaw, parkway trees between the curb and sidewalk are handled by the city's Streets Division (989-399-1311 to report a hazard). Other cities and villages may have their own street-tree rules, so check with your local office if the tree is near the road.
Townships
Much of the county's housing is in its 27 townships, including the populous suburban ones next to the city:

Neighboring counties
Saginaw County borders Bay, Midland, Tuscola, Genesee, Shiawassee, Clinton, and Gratiot Counties. If you're just over the line, near Bay City or Midland, for example, send the request anyway. Rivers and floodplain lots
The Saginaw River forms where the Tittabawassee and Shiawassee Rivers meet, and the Cass, Flint, and Bad Rivers are among the tributaries that feed it. The Shiawassee National Wildlife Refuge lies just south of the city. Riverside lots can have large floodplain trees and soft, wet ground that limits equipment access part of the year.
